Urban lake in Payson

Overview: Fantastic little urban fishing lake regularly stocked with trout. I fish here often with my little fishing buddies, Molly and Matthew (pictured above with large trout).
Directions: From Mesa, take SR 87 north 63 miles to Payson. At Main Street (the first stoplight), turn left and drive to the lake, which also has a playground and bike path. 
Fishing License: An urban fishing license is required for everyone older than 14.
Camping: Houston Mesa Campground. Houston Mesa Road north of Payson.
Niceties: Payson has it all; Walmart to Holiday Inn; gas, food, lodging & more.
