Location: North Rim of the Grand Canyon. 
Route: Take 89A to Jacob Lake, go south past DeMotte Campground to FR 611 and the East Rim Viewpoint TH. 
Length: East Rim Trailhead to Boundary Trailhead 7 miles, 14 miles round-trip, or make a loop using FDR 610 to FDR 611 and return to East Rim Viewpoint.
Rating: Easy to More Difficult.
Scenery: The North Kaibab features the oldest section of the AZ Trail. The trail passes through numerous environments: from pinyon and Juniper stands, to grasslands, pines and aspens. The views from East Rim viewpoint are spectacular.
Season: Most areas open from May 15th - Oct. 15th. Weather changes demonstratively-call ahead for conditions. Ask about trail conditions.
Campgrounds: Jacob Lake Campground: nightly fee, 53 sites, tables, cooking grills, drinking water, toilets, handicapped facilities. Jacob Lake Group Camping Area: Call for info. Demotte Campground: nightly fee, 23 sites, tables, cooking grills, drinking water, toilets, Developed campgrounds are on a first-come first-serve basis and are usually full by 10 AM. Backcountry camping: no fees, some restrictions, call ranger district for information.
