Overview: Many believe this is the best ride in the White Mountains.
Directions: From Show Low, take SR 260 south to Vernon McNary Rd. (FR 224), go left 7 miles to Los Burros Campground. 
Ride: Two hour, 13.5-mile loop on sweet mountain single track. A few tough climbs and swift twisting descents in great-smelling, old-growth pine and aspen forest. Trail is well-marked; if you don’t see a yellow diamond on a tree, backtrack.
Drive Time: 3-hour drive from Phoenix.
Rating: Moderate - difficult.
Elevation: 7,900 feet.
Length: 7.5 miles round-trip.
Seasons: May - Oct. Heavy winter snows and strong summer monsoons.
Time Allowed: A good weekend trip.
Camping: Los Burros Campground (5 units).
Niceties: Gas, food, lodging in Pinetop and Lakeside.
