Overview: Papago Park is a 1,200-acre park with archery, fishing lagoon, golf course, orienteering course, picnic area, ramadas, restrooms, softball complex and volleyball court. The fishing lagoon is part of the urban fishing program and requires an urban fishing license for those older than 14. 
Rating: Fun family mountain biking, plus the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Gardens, and a great old golf course.
Hours: Park hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
