Direction: From Safford drive south 8 miles on US 191 to SR 366 (The Swift Trail). Turn right (southwest) onto SR 366 and drive to Riggs Lake. 
Description: Very scenic. Many hairpin curves. Make sure car and brakes are in good working order.
Seasons: Summer to early fall
Highlights: Mount Graham (10,717 ft.) Riggs Lake & lots of great trails.
Camping: Roper Lake State Park or Coronado NF campgrounds (see link below).
Facilities: Gas, food, lodging, restrooms at Safford.
Other: Mount Graham International Observatory and Discovery Park ( See Arizona Stargazing and Observatories ) .
