Route: From Phoenix take Interstate 17 north to Flagstaff. From Flagstaff take Interstate 40 west 144 miles to Kingman. At McConnico take Route 66 all the way to Golden Shores, then on to Interstate 40. 
Scenery: Everything your eyes can handle.
Highlights: Flagstaff's high-country splendor and an historic stretch of Route 66.
