Overview: Scenic loop consisting of US 60, SR 260 and SR 73. Most of loop drive on Fort Apache Reservation (permits required to recreate). Good weekend trip.
Directions: From Mesa, take US 60 through Globe to SR 73, follow route to SR 260, then on to Show Low (round-trip: 10 hrs.). 
Loop Distance: 95 miles.
Loop Time: 3 hrs.
Camping: Lakeside, Scott Reservoir and Fool Hollow Lake campgrounds ( see Apache NF Campgrounds ).
Facilities: Gas, food, lodging, restrooms at Show Low, Pinetop/Lakeside and Hon Dah (has casino).
